Play Up Rights


The CYSA policy on a competitive player wishing to play up a level ( example , Under 11 player wishing to play for Under 12 team) is as follows.

The board may consider a written request submitted by a parent or guardian of the player wishing to play in a higher age group subject to,

(i) Such a request is submitted to the board prior to the scheduled April board meeting.

(ii) Approval is given by the current competitive coach of that players respective age group.

Amendment to above;

(iii) In the case where there is no competitive team ( L5 or higher) at an age group a player from within that age group is allowed to tryout for the next available competitive team should that player wish to do so.
